Rau said, "For many years we have been talking about projects in North Dakota. RAF Ambassador Jeff Faught and I are excited this one is finally coming together.” Faught and Rau had long ago recognized this location’s recreational value, and received permission from the Army Corp of Engineers to convert the area for aircraft camping. “Keep an eye on the RAF event calendar for future work parties at Garrison Dam as this project moves forward,” he added.
