RAF BACKCOUNTRY AIRSTRIP NETWORK IN THE

BASECAMP:
The official headquarters and launch point for the Fly Rocky Top network. Rockwood Airport offers many amenities, making it the ideal place to begin your backcountry adventure. It includes a 2,400’x50’ turf operations area parallel to the 5,000’x100’ asphalt runway.
OUTPOSTS:
1. Sawbriar 1,300’ / Turf Dogleg
A world-class wingshooting destination famous for its intensive habitat management, traditional native warm-season grasses, and elite pointing dogs. Coming August 2026.

Robbins Farm
2,000’ / Turf
Defined by its sheer serenity and tranquil surroundings. The ultimate destination to get away from the noise, unplug, and soak in the countryside on the beautiful Clinch River.
3. McGraw's Backyard 1,800’ / Turf with 2° Slope
This is what grassroots aviation is all about. This private turf runway offers a pure, unfiltered stick-and-rudder flying experience.
4. Tellico Plains (85TN) 3,000’ / Half Turf - Half Asphalt
At the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, 85TN is an ideal jumping-off point for exploring access to world-class fly-fishing on the Tellico River and provides the perfect place to stop in and grab lunch in the quaint downtown.
